Aspect360 were commissioned to provide expert planning and heritage consultancy to support the development of a new sixth form centre within a Grade II listed building. Working closely with the School, we led the preparation and submission of both Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent applications, successfully securing approval for the change of use and extension of this important heritage asset.
Collaborating with O’Leary Goss Architects, as well as specialist consultants Silverback Arboriculture and Energy Saving Experts, we guided the proposals through the planning process. A key component of the project involved carefully addressing and justifying the impact on the historic significance of the building—particularly in relation to internal alterations and a sensitively designed new link extension connecting to a proposed rear common room.
The development was delivered to a particularly high standard by Bristol-based contractors 21st Century Building Services Ltd.
Following the success of the initial approvals, Aspect360 continued to support the School with subsequent applications, including proposals for new play facilities and landscaping, further enhancing the site’s educational offering.
