Huller House & Cheese Warehouse Conversion and Restoration - Redcliff Backs, Redcliffe, Bristol

Located in the historic heart of Bristol with a striking harbourside setting, Aspect360 secured both planning permission and Listed Building Consent for the conversion and re-use of two of the city’s most significant historic buildings.

The project involved the sensitive restoration and transformation of the Grade II listed Huller House and the adjoining Cheese Warehouse—landmark waterside warehouses that had remained vacant and in a state of disrepair for over 20 years. Working closely with project architects Stride Treglown, Aspect360 provided expert advice on detailed conservation matters and led the navigation of a complex set of planning and heritage challenges.

The development has delivered 55 high-quality apartments and commercial office space, and has also created the missing link in the quayside walkway along Redcliff Backs, alongside new facilities for the Bristol Cruising Club.

Aspect360 managed the full planning application process and coordinated input from a range of technical consultants to address the site’s numerous constraints. The scheme was brought forward on behalf of the Generator Group and represents a major step in the ongoing regeneration of Bristol’s historic harbourside.
