Acting on behalf of Chest Properties, Aspect360 secured planning permission for the redevelopment of a vacant former factory site in Bedminster, Bristol. The brownfield site occupies a prominent location within a conservation area, surrounded by residential properties and overlooking a local park. The disused building had fallen into disrepair and become a target for anti-social behaviour.
Working in collaboration with project architects 105 West Ltd, Aspect360 led community consultation efforts and developed a mixed-use scheme that includes nine family homes and a commercial block featuring a café/restaurant, childcare nursery, and office space.
Due to a range of technical challenges, Aspect360 coordinated input from a team of specialist consultants to carry out key surveys and demonstrate the suitability of the proposals. This process ensured that the development would have no adverse impact on the amenity of neighbouring properties.
The architect’s contemporary-modern design was well received by both the community and officers. Following successful negotiations with the local planning authority, planning permission was granted under delegated powers.
