On behalf of Mail Handling International (MHI), Aspect360 successfully secured planning permission for a significant expansion of the company’s commercial premises in Bristol.
MHI is a leading Bristol-based delivery specialist, providing services in e-commerce delivery, digital printing, mailing, and distribution. Established in the early 1990s, the company has experienced sustained growth and is now recognised as one of Europe’s foremost independent providers in the sector. Operating globally, MHI employs over 100 staff at its Bristol headquarters.
Working in collaboration with Wotton Donoghue Architects and a team of specialist consultants, the proposals focused on delivering additional high-quality production and administrative floorspace, alongside enhanced facilities for staff. A core objective of the project was to incorporate sustainable construction principles, including a comprehensive package of renewable energy measures.
Given the complexity of the site, Aspect360 played a key role in addressing several technical challenges through the planning process. These included site-specific constraints such as flood risk and drainage, site access, and ecological considerations.
The approved scheme represents a major milestone in MHI’s continued growth and demonstrates a clear commitment to sustainable development and investment in Bristol’s commercial infrastructure.
